Born and raised just outside of Philadelphia, I have always had a deep love for telling stories through image. When I first started photographing, it was with my iPhone, an inherited Canon Rebel from my sister, and a Go Pro Hero 4 I received for Christmas one year. I would bring my cameras everywhere. My focus was mainly taking pictures of my friends’ surfing as well as surrounding architecture and landscapes. In 2016, I was accepted into the Savannah College of Art and Design where I studied film making and video editing, as well as, photography. In 2019, I got my first film camera, a Canon AE-1. I bought this camera solely for a film photography class I was taking. I was unaware this class and this camera would change the way I photograph forever. I began to focus more on the unique architecture and culture of the city of Savannah. Around this time is when I began to struggle with my new home and I felt distant from the world around me. I began to focus on creating images that mirrored how I was feeling inside. I took a step away from landscapes and wildlife images and began to focus more on abstract designs and high contrast scenes to emulate feelings of fear, isolation and longing. Eventually I began to see how the community I lived in was in a dark and painful transition. Historic neighborhoods and landmarks destroyed for capital gain and large scale profit. Gentrification had taken a hold on Savannah, much like it had taken a hold nearly every other city in the United States. I produced my first full collection “The Other Side”, with the intent of showcasing this lost beauty and how many lives were being affected by this large scale change. As time moved, so did I. I graduated in 2021 from SCAD with a B.F.A in Film and Television with a minor in Photography and moved back home in the fall to be near my family and to pursue my dreams. We had moved to South Florida just a few years prior and I would have to adjust to this new way of life before returning to Savannah in the spring of 2022 to be a production assistant for Apple TV for their new limited series “Manhunt”. During this time, I met many great people from all walks of life with a similar goal in mind of one day turning their dreams into reality. When the show finished filming in the fall of 2022, I began to reach out to find new opportunities that would help me get closer to my goals. I photographed various events and galas for SOUTH Magazine as well as for WSAV News. I was also a freelance Behind The Scenes photographer for multiple Harden Creative productions in collaboration with MazelTov Cocktail Collective. Since then, I’ve returned to South Florida to explore and photograph the area and showcase the unique landscape, lifestyle and people of the area.
